...a punk, a dickhead, and a douchebag walk into a bar.... I am going to re-read this one enough times so that I fully understand your lexicon. Just like there’s balls and strikes, they ain’t nothing until the ump calls ‘em, you just effectively called out the disagreeable humans (Rhonda quote, “Anyone can be an asshole, it takes talent to be a bitch”). Well done you. I know it may seem that the speed of my comment may indicate that I am not digesting the genius of your writing, but I hear it in my head with your imagined voice, each comma making a pause in your reading of your piece to me. I have the ability to rapidly assimilate information and base conclusions on it and this has been a life or death skill I’ve had to hone over my 53 years. So please understand that I see the tiles (your words) in your mosaic for what they are, sharpened tools, one of few tools we have (in addition to gestures and sounds) to transfer thought from one’s head to another’s...to share a joke on one end of the spectrum all the way to keep from getting killed on the other. This is now rambling and I apologize for taking up so much of your limited time.
Interesting lexicon. Thank you for this. I'm wondering how fixed an individual is within these categories – and whether all of us at times exhibit one or many of these. I know certainly I've been called at least one of these – and may have done so to myself as well.
