Actually I have a couple of nice car coats that I got from Johnston & Murphy, and I do have the blazer similar to the one that the above model is wearing. But I still want a new one because we're going to Small's. I cannot imagine myself in a proper jazz club wearing a leather jacket. That's just wrong. Hanging out in the Village, sure.
Speaking all of which, on that same night down in the OC, I went to the local Lauren shop to see if they had any of the Morehouse Collection left. The Polo dude told me that the shipment all went to two stores in SoCal and most of it to the Beverly Hills store. They had lines around the block and sold it all the first day. Damn.
Maybe I'll just buy something in NYC when I get there.
It turns out that I got this very jacket pictured from the J&M at Century City. It was on sale for $175. Now I need a nice blue or cream cashmere sweater.
I think a black leather jacket would be more apropos, but I am nobody's idea of a fashion guide.
