Good column. I will quibble on parts of the dysfunction of the right. If the state using its power to force people to take medicine, and deny basic rights to those they deem unworthy isn’t trying to cow Americans into penury and servitude, what is trying to do instead?
The differences between what the state is doing in CA & NY as opposed to what it’s not doing in TX & FL are real, not theoretical.
