Interesting choice to publish this after the results were in. I think most of it is accurate, and I share your points of optimism. Thanks for an interesting article.

Lol... I agree with most of you sentiment and observations but I must be more of a pragmatist. As much as listening to Trump speak grates my eardrums. Voting against the Democrat platform is more important to me than not voting for a clumsy orator who sells gold plated tennis shoes but gets policy decisions right more often than not.

Joe Rogan's interview of JD Vance really opened my eyes to how well spoken he is. What comes after Trump? I definitely think they've developed a deeper bench with folks like JD, Vivek, Tulsi, et. al.

That said, whoever won this election was going to have it's hands full with dealing with national debt and interest payments to finance their proposals. Badly managed, if the Dems can get off their identity politics and need to control information, they have a road to 2028.

Democrats have had generally bad policy positions and not fixed anything in nearly five decades unless growing government is seen as positive. Road back from where?

Haven't you noticed the bonfire of the past four years?

Something you seriously overlooked is that Trump has reached out to the "other side". He had built a team of people that disagree. Trump is embracing compromise. Kennedy, Gabbard and Musk our the real hope here and we just elected them.

I don't doubt it. But I do think that there are a class of deep state bureaucrats that the Trump Administration is going to have to manage and none of those folks you mention strike me as world class government administrators. The subtlety begins now, so lets see some appointments with 20+ years of working well at the federal level. I'm particularly interested in what he does with Pentagon procurement, how he handles Nikki Haley heir to John Bolton at the UN, if he re-arranges the FBI, what kind of Attorney General he's thinking about. Two years ago, did he have any friends in government? I mean Giuliani is in tatters. Sure he could hire Michael Yang or Vivek R., but really? Is he going to have disposable flunkies who never get to speak independently? I know that worked for Obama...

It's going to be very interesting to watch! Something I've been trying to point out is that Trump and team will **not** immediately pull off miracles. They have an extremely tough job ahead of them! They are however a breath of fresh air after Biden and Harris! Also I'm very thankful that Tyrant Timmy didn't get closer to the presidency!
